Swimming and Waterpolo always promise to be thrilling events, and spectators got a double treat during the day two aqua-sports, seeing Australian athletes making them proud at the Homebush Aquatic Centre.
Australians reigned victorious in both the men’s and women’s waterpolo, and taking one second place and two thirds in the backstroke and butterfly swimming heats.
While all swimmers and waterpolo players could be seen giving their best, quite substantial gaps fell between place holders for all events.
The atmosphere at the event proved that although the competitors were young, they are very capable of performing in a competitive international environment.
